2017 Danske Bank Women’s Premiership

Mon, 20/03/2017 - 22:00

The 2017 Danske Bank Women’s Premiership season has been launched at an event at the National Football Stadium at Windsor Park, with representatives and players from all seven teams in attendance including Ballymena United Allstars who join the league following their promotion.

Chairperson of the Women’s Premiership Committee Maura Muldoon said: “To have Danske Bank continue its sponsorship of the Women’s Premiership for a further three seasons, is testament to the high quality players and games we witnessed in our inaugural season. Danske Bank is an international brand and their investment in the local game comes off the back of a mutually beneficial relationship.  With their support I have no doubt that we can establish the brand by producing an exciting season of women’s football, with the winners going on to compete in European competition.”

Nicola McCleery, Head of Marketing at Danske Bank added:
“We are delighted to once again be the title sponsor for the Women’s Premiership at what is a really exciting time for football in Northern Ireland.  We recently extended our partnership with the Northern Ireland Football League (NIFL), as title sponsors of the Premiership and the Women’s Premiership for a further three years.
