Glentoran Womens Team

Glentoran Belfast United were founded in 1987 and are now the women's team of Glentoran FC with whom they have had an association for over ten years. Situated in East Belfast the women's team play at the Oval during their summer season. A women's club of distinction and achievement seek to ensure that the club thrives both on the field and off the field.  An outline below of the achievements of the women's first team demonstrates that their ethos and culture of hard work, commitment, enjoyment, excellent coaching and development for all players and a cohesive team spirit has delivered many successes to date and is the platform for continued success into the future.

The team have won the Premier League in Northern Ireland on six occasions over the last nine years, in 2004, 2006,2007,2008,2011 and last year, 2013. They have won the Premier league cup competition on 7 occasions since 2001. Glentoran women's team have won the IFA's women's cup six times over the last 8 years, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2012. Glentoran women's team have participated in the UEFA women's cup in 2005, 2007 and 2008 and the women's champions league in 2010, 2012 and will participate in this year’s competition in Scotland in August.
