Guidance for supporters travelling to support the team in Detroit.
The club is pleased to confirm that Detroit City FC has been able to able to reserve a block of 50 rooms at the Motor City Hotel and Casino in Detroit for Glentoran supporters travelling for the match. The players and club officials will be staying in this hotel.
Supporters have until Tuesday, April 25 to reserve rooms. Room rate at the Motor City Hotel is $149.00 per night for a single or double. Detroit City recommends booking online through the link below. For those who prefer to call the hotel direct, the block booking has been made under Glentoran FC, so use that name when reserving.
Although supporters are booking their room directly, it’s important the club knows who and how many supporters are attending for communication purposes nearer to departure. In particular, the club is hoping to organise an official function for all supporters. But to successfully do so we need supporters to register through the club. Cheaper hotels may be available online but it’s important to remember that this is a major national holiday weekend in the USA and there is a music festival in Detroit that weekend. So if you don’t intend to use the club block booking its important to book quickly.
