Three Academy sides are competing in this season's Foyle Cup, starting next week in Londonderry. The three teams heading up are last season's under 12, under 15 and under 16 sides - all of whom won their respective leagues last season.
The competition will provide the boys with a unique competitive experience as they face a group stage tournament then knockout games in the competition and the draw has thrown up some mouth watering ties.
The under 12s will face Arklow Town, who have romped away with the Wicklow Schoolboys’ League this year, Dungiven Celtic and Maiden City Academy. The under 15s face Ballymena North End, Oxford United and professional Scottish outfit St. Johnstone.
The under 16s face Strabane Athletic, Gweedore United and Derry and District Youth FA. The group stage fixtures are noted below for anyone who may be in the region next week and interested in taking in a game or two!
