Glentoran Academy Under 17 player Jack Henderson been selected for the Northern Ireland U18 Schoolboy International squad for their first game next Monday vs Australia.
The NI Schoolboys will use this as preparation for competing in the Centenary Shield with other Home Nations, which Jack will hope to be a part of.
Jack is a year young for the eligibility age for selection highlighting what a great achievement this is for him personally, he has been selected off the back of a lengthy trial process and an impressive performance yesterday in a friendly which he capped off with a fine goal.
Jack has had a couple of first team training sessions under his belt this season and recently took part in a trial match for Rotherham FC and he hopes to make his bow for the u20s in the near future.
