Glentoran face Linfield in what is undoubtedly the biggest fixture in the Danske Bank Premiership this weekend.

It's a tough debut game for new manager, Gary Haveron but one that he is looking forward to immensely following his appointment on an 18-month contract on Thursday. Haveron met the players for the first time at training on Thursday evening and described their attitude as first class. He doesn't envisage many changes to the squad which played so well in the opening 45 minutes against Ballymena Utd last weekend but will have the option of adding Calum Birney and Jay Magee to the group. Both came through Thursday's training session.

It's fair to say the Glens haven't had the best of it in their meetings with Linfield over the last couple of seasons but when the sides met in the first encounter last season, Curtis Allen netted an injury time goal to earn Glentoran a valuable point. Curtis has subsequently gone on to reach 50 goals for Glentoran, the 50th coming in last Saturday's meeting with Ballymena United. 50 goals in 111 appearances is an excellent return for the Glens number 9 and the home fans will be hoping he adds to that tally in Saturday's game.

Marcus Kane may be back in the starting line up having returned last weekend as a substitute, following injury. Very much a fans' favourite, 'Moko' notched up his 150th appearance for Glentoran at the Showgrounds last week.

We would like to remind fans that this game is ALL TICKET. If you haven't got your ticket yet, they are still available at all of our outlets. You can check the location of your nearest outlet HERE.

Supporters travelling to the game from Co Antrim or North Belfast should note that the M3 will be closed and they will need to find an alternative route.

We would ask supporters from both clubs to be on their best behaviour and follow the instructions of the stewards and safety personnel at all times.  COYG.
