The Players, Management and Board of Directors want to express their appreciation for such fantastic support on Saturday and thank all the fans for the manner in which they worked with the Club to make the Cup Final such a great event - and a great success.
We would like also to pay tribute to our Event Safety Manager, Roger Clarke for his excellent organisation of the final. The fact that the whole day passed off without any major incident or injury doesn't just happen and we recognise Roger's tremendous efforts, not just for Saturday but throughout the whole season.
Thanks also to our Safety Officer, Stewards, Team Security and Security Personnel for their work on the day.
To those Eventsec staff who held the line and prevented a breach from the Railway Stand - superb work. Thank you.
We'd also like to acknowledge the efforts of Steven Gordon and Thomas Sewell for their assistance with our suporters towards the end of the match. Their actions allowed security resources to be deployed where they were most needed.
Ultimtely 2nd May 2015 will be remembered for Glentoran winning the Irish Cup at the Oval and not because of any other incident. This is due, in no small part, to the work of those mentioned above. Success on the field and success off the field. Thank you all.
