Thanks from Glentoran FC
We are pleased to announce that our captain, Stephen McAlorum and defender Willie Garrett have now had the operations needed following their recent serious knee injuries. We wish both players a quick recovery and speedy return to first team action.
The Board of Directors would like to draw supporters' attention to, and offer sincere and deep thanks to those Glentoran supporters clubs who so quickly and generously responded to the club's request for financial assistance towards these expensive private procedures. The parent club contributed but without the help from our supporters clubs the 2 players could have waited for a number of months longer. The clubs who deserve our gratitude are (in alphabetical order) 1923 GSC, Ballymacarrett GSC, Castlereagh GSC, Cookstown GSC, Dundonald GSC, Hillfoot GSC, North Down GSC, Quarry GSC, Raven GSC and Victoria GSC. Thanks are also due to Ruth McCreery and other volunteers for their usual tireless work in organising and securing sponsorship for the forthcoming Night at the Races and to all the sponsors of the event.
This is another great example of what is achieved when the great, broader Glentoran support works together.
