Demi Vance joins Rangers

Northern Ireland Women’s Player of the Year, Demi Vance, has joined Rangers on an 18-month contract.

Demi (28) has had an incredible career so far with Glentoran Women. She joined the club as a 16-year old and has spent her whole career with the club, apart from a spell playing in Western Australia.  As a goalscoring midfielder has won an exceptional trophy haul of 6 league titles, 7 league cups and 6 Irish cups. This year’s NIPOTY award was the second time she has been honoured by the league. Demi also has 63 senior caps for Northern Ireland, scoring 3 goals for her country.

A second half equaliser from, the in-form Robbie McDaid gave Glentoran a point today at home over Crusaders. A point was the very least the Glens deserved from the match, as we extended our unbeaten Danske Bank Premiership run to nine matches.

On Saturday we look to continue our current run as the league’s form team with the visit of Crusaders to East Belfast.

We’re much closer to Crusaders than we have been at this stage of the season for some years. Four points behind with a game in hand. So this is a very meaningful fixture for both clubs.

Italian mood for Glentoran Christmas Sleepover

On Sunday 8th December, players from Glentoran, Glentoran Women, and volunters from within the club and support, held a sleepover at the Oval in aid of the 2019 Glentoran Christmas Appeal for the Homeless.

Since 2013, Glentoran Football Club has implemented a Christmas appeal to provide gifts, food, clothes and other necessities for members of the homeless community in Belfast and for pensioners and lower income families within the club’s home of East Belfast.
