In a great week for Glentoran Academy squads, congratulations to our Under 14 team on winning the NIBFA Cup!
The Young Glens Glentoran U14s defeated Larne 2-0 in the decider for the prestigious trophy through second half goals from Corey McBride and Noah Doak.
The team for the final was: Joshua Vaiulumuli, Daniel Patterson, Damian Sitnicki, Jamie McCreery, Eoin Harden, Adam Nelson (captain), Rory Prenter, Jacob Patterson, Mason Ayre, Cillian Murray, Jay Forsythe Subs Cameron Hayes, Enzo Bosket, Noah Doak, Riley McCormick, Corey McBride. Well done to all of them!
Well done also to the coaching team of David Hayes (Head Coach), Steven Patterson and Gary Harden.
The win keeps the boys on course for a league and cup double as they are 3 points ahead of Cliftonville at the top of the table with a much superior goal difference. They can clinch the double in the final game of the season when they host Larne on Saturday 18th May,
